Cher Appears In Upcoming Documentary 'In This Climate'

Billboard reports that Cher appears in Pablo Ganguli' "short documentary about the perils of climate change":

Liberatum, a cultural diplomacy organization founded by Indian-born director and producer Pablo Ganguli, is releasing a short documentary about the perils of climate change, titled In This Climate.

The documentary, which is directed by Ganguli and Liberatum’s creative director Tomas Auksas, is a breathtaking collage of planet earth, provoking arguments, and influential faces. Cher, Mark Ruffalo, Vivienne Westwood, Marina Abramovic, and Noam Chombsky are among some of the celebrated visionaries whose concerns are voiced in this critical short film.

In This Climate is set to release in early 2017, scheduled after November’s United Nations Climate Change Conference and before the World Economic Forum in January, for optimal impact on global discussion. There will be screenings in festivals, events, and universities worldwide.

In a time when president-elect Trump has voiced his disbelief in climate change and thousands of indigenous peoples face rubber bullets and tear gas for their peaceful protest against the construction of the crude oil Dakota Access Pipeline, the film could hardly be more topical.
